OUR AIM AS SINGERS IS TO SING WITH EASE.
As many of us know, learning to play any instrument comes with learning good technique. Well, despite the genre or sound you're trying to achieve, there are a few solid pillars for good, healthy singing that all singers should be aware of.
THREE CORE COMPONENTS:
- Primal Sound (sounds we naturally make as humans)
- Posture & Alignment (how we stand/move our bodies while we sing)
- Breathing & Support (correct breathing - using our stomach muscles to support our sound)
Posture & Alignment refers to good posture for singing which in actual fact, is supposed to be as free and alignment.
Having a good posture is essential for good singing as it ensures that all of the muscles necessary for singing â€‹will be free of tension. It also allows our belly muscles to work properly for our 'breath support' mechanisms. More explained
Breathing and support refers to how we breathe and support our sound while we sing! Accent Method is ---
